Battery Limited Warranty

OUR GUARANTEE

Charlotte Cycles will replace any battery we sell, should it fail due to defects in materials or workmanship, under normal installation, use and service, while under warranty. This warranty does not cover the exceptions listed below under, "WHAT IS NOT COVERED".

LENGTH OF WARRANTY

Your warranty begins the day you purchase the battery, and expires either at the end of 2 years or 400 cycles, whichever comes first. A partial charge/discharge counts fractionally against those numbers; running the battery down halfway then recharging it completely uses up one half of a charge cycle. The original receipt of purchase is required to establish proof of purchase and warranty date, and must be provided for all warranty claims. This warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time.

FREE REPLACEMENT PERIOD

Your free replacement period begins the day you purchase the battery, and expires at the end of 1 year from the date on your original receipt. When a battery is replaced during the "Free Replacement Period", the warranty does not renew, it continues on from the original date of purchase.

PRORATION

The prorated purchase price of the battery, which becomes defective after the lapse of the "Free Replacement Period", and prior to the end of the warranty period, will be credited toward the purchase of another battery. The amount of the proration shall be determined by dividing the purchase price by the number of months of the warranty period, and then multiplying the result by the number of months remaining in the warranty period. (Any partial months will be rounded to the nearest whole month). When a battery is replaced after the "Free Replacement Period" and a prorated fee is paid, the warranty starts from that date as a new purchase.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty does not cover: failure due to misuse, abuse, damage from stunt riding, jumping, acrobatics, or similar activities, alteration or modification, IMPROPER MAINTENANCE, accident or collision, or improper installation. E-bike batteries are warranted only when installed as intended for E-bike use. Installation of an E-bike battery in any other type of vehicle or equipment voids your warranty. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SUCH AS PHYSICAL INJURIES, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF USE OF THE E-BIKE, INCONVENIENCE, RENTAL BIKE, TOWING CHARGES, OR ACCOMODATIONS RESULTING FROM THE FAILURE OF THE BATTERY.

WHAT YOU MUST DO

You must take the defective battery and the receipt of purchase, to Charlotte Cycles during normal business hours. If "proration" applies you must pay the difference between the cost of a new battery, and the amount of the proration when you receive your new battery, plus any taxes. The new battery price varies over time with market rates and stock and may not be the same price as the original purchase price.?
